Our benefits form an important part of our total rewards package.
We recognise that a valued rewards package is so much more than just salary and have invested time putting in place benefits that are relevant and useful to our colleagues. We also understand that different people value different benefits which is why we offer a range, so you can find the right balance between the work you love and the things you love.

Holiday Allowance
All permanent colleagues get 25 days annual leave (pro rata) in the first year, which increases to 26 days after working for us for one year, plus all UK bank holidays.
Each year colleagues can carry forward a maximum of five days holiday with prior agreement with their line manager.

Holiday is accrued at 14.5% of hours worked in the first holiday year and then 15% thereafter.

Free Parking
Many of our venues are busy, vibrant, visitor destinations so we ensure that we have adequate parking facilities for visitors and colleagues. All colleagues can take advantage of FREE parking when working in our venues and this is available from day one, as long as a valid parking pass is displayed.

Free Lunch
Working in live events can be fast paced but it is important to us that our colleagues have access to healthy, nutritional food. We provide all colleagues with access to either hot or cold food options when working in our venues for FREE.

Flexible Working Arrangements
The company is committed to ensuring employees have a good work life balance so will work with you to achieve this within the requirements of business needs. Flexible working can include a range of arrangements from part-time working, job sharing, annualised hours, compressed weeks and home working.

Holiday Flex
Colleagues have the flexibility to increase the number of days holiday they can take during the holiday year, purchasing additional days through Work Perks.

Enhanced Leave Entitlements
We want to ensure that we support our colleagues through the various stages of their life and have a number of enhanced leave payments that employees are entitled to including maternity; paternity; adoption; parental and bereavement.

Pension
Subject to your age and earnings you will be automatically enrolled into the NEC Group Pension Plan. If you do not qualify for automatic enrolment you can still join the Plan if you wish to do so. Plan members pay minimum contributions of 5% of salary with the NEC paying matching contributions up to 7%.

Life Assurance Cover
We provide colleagues with a Life Assurance cover if you are actively contributing to the NEC Group personal pension plan and have joined at the first opportunity or within 12 months of becoming first eligible.

Private Medical Insurance
The company will fund either single cover or family cover (dependent on role band). The cover includes out-patient, day-case, private hospital and NHS private wing care.

Wellbeing is a key focus for us. Alongside our wellbeing programme where we offer training in Mental Health First Aid, provide quiet spaces for staff and support initiatives like Events Wellbeing Week we also have a Wellbeing Centre on our staff platform ‘Backstage’. This online platform offers free access to bite sized videos, articles and advice in a range of areas from managing your finances, healthy eating, mental health and even home workouts to keep our colleagues active and healthy.
